Ka Huna Massage (Lomi Lomi)

Ka Huna is holistic approach to rejuvenation and healing for the mind, body and soul. It originated in the South Pacific and is also referred to as Lomi Lomi. Ka Huna is a unique massage therapy in that the practitioner uses their hands, forearms and elbows and moves around the table using flowing Hula and Tai Chi style movements. Music is played and the practitioner attunes the flow of the massage to harmonise the various rhythms whilst applying soft and deep tissue massage.
Ka Huna is beneficial for people experiencing pain, physical discomfort , injuries, stress, confusion, grief and depression. It can also assist with chronic illness or work and relationship issues. The practitioner provides all clients with a safe, supportive and comfortable environment to facilitate the self healing experience.
At Herbal Wisdom, the Ka Huna practitioners have had in-depth training with Mette’s Institute at High Spirits Retreat. The Institute is accredited by several Associations of Massage Therapy throughout Australia. All practitioners at Herbal Wisdom have extensive experience in the process of both giving and receiving Ka Huna body work, client counselling and Huna philosophy.
